Taking the Green Gorilla smoothie to the next level for a bit of variety in the mornings and to give it some extra oomph and goodness with whatever’s in the cupboards!
For the smoothie:
- 1/2 banana
- handful of fresh spinach or two frozen spinach drops
- scoop of vanilla whey protein
- a few ice cubes
- 1 tsp peanut butter
- 1 cup plant based milk – I normally have almond but have been using macadamia milk recently (you can use water instead if you’d prefer)
- 1 tsp chia seeds
Blitz all ingredients together, I use a Nutri Ninja blender which works very well to make it smooth and drinkable.
Pour out the liquid into a bowl and top with your desired toppings. Today I used:
- Cacao nibs
- Chopped up strawberries
